Abraao - Pico do Papagaio
Abraao:
It is the village with the best infrastructure in Ilha Grande. There are bars, restaurants, drugstores, supermarket, medical assistance, police station, souvenir stores, etc.
Pico do Papagaio:
Walking to the top of the 982 meters peak is recommended for those in the right spirit and in good shape. From the top you can enjoy one of the most privileged landscapes of Ilha Grande. When the day is clear it is possible to see all Restinga da Marambaia and, if you are lucky, Pedra da Gavea in Rio.
Track:
Take the track that goes to Dois Rios. After a few minutes walk a sign shows the way to the peak. As soon as you leave the road that takes to Dois Rios you can notice the kind of track that leads you to the top.
Distance: 11.400m – 18.000m (round trip)

Tip:
Don’t forget to take a dip in Pocao and to visit the Aqueduct and Lazareto Ruins.
