To Mangaratiba
FROM RIO DE JANEIRO
By car -
- Av. Brasil: Go straight ahead until Santa Cruz and take BR-101 (Rio-Santos), keep going until you get to Mangaratiba.
- Barra da Tijuca: Take Avenida das Americas and go straight ahead until you get to the end of Recreio, go to the top of Grota Funda, keep going until Santa Cruz, go across the viaduct in Centro, carry on until Avenida Brasil, make a return and take BR-101 until you get to Mangaratiba.
There are two exits to Mangaratiba: There is one before and one after Sai-Mangaratiba Tunnel. Both of them take to the harbor.
The journey is about 10 km longer from Barra but it is definitely the most beautiful and enjoyable.
